2023 saw another year of expansion at Micross, with the additions of 2 new business units, Hi-Rel RF Solutions and Hi-Rel Power Solutions; the Grand opening of our new 85,000 ft² State-of-the-Art Flagship Semiconductor and Specialty Electronics Manufacturing Facility in Apopka, FL; the $134.4M DoD Re-shore Ecosystem for Secure Heterogenous Advanced Packaged Electronics (RESHAPE) award announced in November, that will significantly augment the production capacity of our Micross Advanced Interconnect (AIT) facility, in North Carolina, and add new 300mm wafer processing capabilities, ensuring domestic and secure access for all programs support of the Defense Industrial Base; and new STT-MRAM densities and CGA package options, for greater reliability in the harshest environments.  Also included and available for on-demand viewing are the recordings of 3 webinars Micross held this year, providing best-practices on preparing and validating microelectronics for high-reliability applications, ruggedizing COTS components for hi-rel applications, and processing and procuring semiconductor bare die.  Stay tuned in 2024 to keep informed of newly introduced capabilities, services, and products, in support of our mission to provide you with the most complete one-source solution for hi-rel microelectronics!

RF & Microwave Solutions

January 2023 - Micross expands its Hi-Rel Products offering with the acquisition of KCB Solutions, an innovative provider of GaN/GaAs RF and microwave switches, attenuators, amplifiers, multi-chip and functional modules in both standard and custom forms.   

DC-DC Power Conversion

February 2023 - We're proud to announce the expansion of our Hi-Rel Products offering with the acquisition of the High-Reliability DC-DC Converter business of Infineon Technologies, a global semiconductor leader in power systems and IoT. With a portfolio of hybrid DC-DC converter, custom board-based power products and complementary EMI filters.

Expanded Capabilities & Offerings

New STT-MRAM Densities and CGA Options 

April 2023 - Micross expands its Hermetic and QED Space-Grade Spin Torque Transfer MRAM devices with offerings of 4Gb & 16Mb densities with Level-2 PEM package options.

November 2023 - Micross STT-MRAM extends offerings to include a Column Grid Array (CGA) option for the 4Gb and 1Gb ceramic devices.

Advanced Interconnect OSAT Capabilities

November 2023 - Micross announces that it has recieved an award under the IBAS Cornerstone RESHAPE program with a ceiling value of up to $134.4 million, with $45.6 million obligated at the time of the award. The award was made through the Department of Defense (DoD) to develop trusted, pure-play and open-access Advanced Packaging capabilities and capacity for low-volume/high-mix production of secure 2.5/3D Advanced System Integration and Packaging (ASIP) solutions.

Celebrating the Grand Opening of its Semiconductor Manufacturing Facility in Apopka, FL

March 2023 - Micross announces the opening of its new state-of-the-art flagship semiconductor and specialty electronics manufacturing facility in Apopka, FL strengthening the electronics supply chain for the United States and our friends worldwide. 

Micross Acquires TechnoGraph, Expanding its European Footprint with New Facility in Portsmouth, UK

May 2023 - Micross expands its international Hi-Rel Product offerings with the acquisition of TechnoGraph, a privately held electronics manufacturer located in Portsmouth, UK, offering hybrid integrated circuits, RF & microwave products, optoelectronics, and PCB assembly.
