In March 1988 Micross Components was conceived with a vision of supplying the microelectronics industry with the highest quality chip components that were available at the best prices and with consistently good service.

The original founders of Micross Components were Gail Shiffman, Hal Skurnick, Sid Overall and Don Sheerin. Each brought to the company many years of experience within the microelectronics industry.

In 1988 2,000 sq. ft. of office space was leased at 35 Kulick Road in Fairfield, NJ. At the time of occupancy major improvements to the facility included the construction of a clean room for the inspection, handling and storage of chip components.

In late 1991 the original facility in Fairfield, NJ was expanded to include an additional 1500sq. ft. of office area. Then in early 1997 another 1500 sq. ft. were added  giving a total of approximately 5,000 sq. ft. of office space and clean room area. Further growth required a move in 2001 to 22 Just Road in Fairfield, which expanded our facility to 8500 square feet.

During 1991 the first multi-tasking UNIX based computer was installed at Micross Components. Since then, many improvements and upgrades have been added for increased data storage, networking and speed. All of our staff is linked via high speed terminals and modems for immediate access to inventory and sales history.

In January 2002, Micross Components was certified to ISO 9001:2000.

Our dedication to these standards has led to our continued growth and strong customer base. It is an indication that we have the right formula for success.
